About Us​

Bulighisa United Youth Ambassadors for Peace Building and Development (BUYA-PBD) is a new and first Community Based Organization in Bulighisa Village, Kyondo S/C in the mountainous remote areas in the foothills of Mt. Rwenzori in Kasese District in Uganda. 

Due to unavoidable life circumstances, most of the youth in our local communities have not been able to attain formal education. This has made them lag behind in matters concerning Societal Development. Having realized these challenges amongst the most youth, we are looking forward to empowering them with skills that can contribute to their future prosperity and community development (Societal developmental).

We believe that everyone deserves access to knowledge and skills that can transform their lives and community at large. Through our programs, we equip these youth with sustainable livelihood skills that not only provide economic stability but also foster personal growth and community development.

Our mission does not merely stop there, we recognize the urgent need for Environmental Conservation and Sustainability in response to the Global Climate Crisis. Our commitment extends beyond individual empowerment to the well-being of our planet. By imparting environmental conservation knowledge, we inspire a generation of change-makers who will protect and preserve our natural world.

Empowering youth with education, training, and opportunities is essential for their future success and the prosperity of world as a whole.
